This Guideline will instruct you step-by-step on how to set TikTok live as an ad network on the AdTiming Mediation platform.

Before You Start

Make sure you have correctly integrated AdTiming's Rewarded Video, Interstitial Ads into your application.

Important! The ADAPTERS for ad networks are modularized, which means that you need to download Not Only the SDK of mediation networks  you choose to work with But Also the adapters for those ad networks. Be sure to follow this Guide to mediation TikTok's Ads.

Step 1. Create an TikTok Account

  1. Create an account with TikTok. You can do so here.
  2. Once your account has been verified, you can login at their partner login here.

Step 2. Create an Application in TikTok

1. Once you log in, add an app by clicking 'Application' and select '+  Add APP'.


2. Define the details of your application.


  • Category – Application Type.
  • App Name – Enter a custom name for your application.

Step 3. Add a Placement

1. Select the application you created, and select 'Add Ad Placement'.


2. Select Interstitial, Rewarded Video or Native as your ad unit format.


3. Enter the name and description for this placement and Click 'Submit'.


  • Orientation – Ad display style.
  • Ad Placement – Enter a custom name for your placement.

Step 4. Configure TikTok’s Parameters into AdTiming Account

1. Once you have both of these parameters, log in to your AdTiming account and go to Mediation -> Ad Network Setup

2. Select TikTok from the list of Available Ad Networks


 3. Fill in the 'TikTok App ID' and the 'TikTok App Key' and click 'Save'.


 4. You will then see TikTok as Active for Mediation Status on your Setup list.


Step 5. Add the TikTok SDK&Adapter to Your Build


1. Add the TikTok SDK

  • Download the TikTok SDK from here.
  • Add the TikTok Adapter to Your Project
    Move the open_ad_sdk.aar to the libs folder in your Android Project.
  • Add to your application-level build.gradle file.

2. Add the TikTok Adapter

     AdTiming supports both Gradle dependencies and Manual download mechanisms.

       Gradle dependencies

  • Add the following in your project-level build.gradle file.

url "https://dl.adtiming.com/android-sdk"
  • Add the following in your application-level build.gradle file.
 implementation 'com.adtiming.adapters:tiktok:3.0.0@aar'

       Manual download

  • Download the TikTok Adapter from here.
  • Add the TikTok Adapter to Your Project
    Move the TikTokAdapter-x.x.x.aar to the libs folder in your Android Project.
  • Make sure you add the following to your Gradle build file under the dependencies section:
implementation (name:'TikTokAdapter-x.x.x', ext:'aar')

3. Update AndroidManifest.xml

  • Configure Android Manifest.xml to add permissions.

4. For Proguard Users Only

If you are using ProGuard with the TikTok adapter, you must add the following code to your ProGuard configuration (Android Studio: proguard-rules.pro or Eclipse: proguard-project.txt):

-keep public class com.bytedance.sdk.openadsdk.*{ public *; }


You are now all set to deliver TikTok Ads within your application.
